Where to get help with behaviour is one of the lesser known things that parents are aware of. Parenting classes have been relatively unheard of up until this last ten years in this country. However, for any parents out there struggling with your difficult child behaviour & don’t know where to turn, here at The Child Behaviour Consultancy, Roisín Doherty – Behaviour Analyst has you covered with the behaviour support that you need.
The Child Behaviour Consultancy is a service in which a Behaviour Support Specialist in Ireland, consults with parents of children from 3 – 12 years of age to help them address child behaviour issues through parent coaching either in-person or via Zoom appointments.
When parents get in touch with The Child Behaviour Consultancy Ireland, they get to communicate directly with the Behaviour Consultant, who finds out general information about the situation, for e.g., the child’s age, the kind of behaviours they are displaying, whether the child is displaying challenging behaviour, whether the child has a diagnosis or not, etc., so that the Behaviour Consultant can decide whether or not it is something that they can help them with. If not, the Behaviour Consultant will do their best to signpost them in the direction of someone who may be able to help.
The first step of child behaviour consulting involves the Child Behaviour Specialist arranging to have a Consultation with the parent(s) to find out more about their child & the general situation.
After the first appointment, the Behaviour Therapist has a second appointment with the parent(s) where a Behaviour Assessment is carried out. This involves looking further into the child behaviour & why it is happening.
Behaviour Therapy is about the Child Therapist working out the reason(s) for the behaviour happening & then making changes in order to bring about positive results. This is why, in the third appointment, parents then get their Behaviour Support Plan that has advice & strategies specifically tailored to help address their child’s behaviour for the parent(s) then to go & implement.
Although The Child Behaviour Consultancy is based in Co. Donegal, it not only gives help with child behaviour in Ulster, & help with child behaviour in Northern Ireland. Due to the option of both in-person or Zoom appointments available with the Behaviour Analyst, this allows the service to be available to parents in all locations. So, for example, the service can be availed of by parents nationwide looking for help with child behaviour in Ireland, for e.g., parents looking for help with child behaviour in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, etc.
The Child Behaviour Consultancy prides itself in providing top class parent support & parent training to the parents that avail of the service, & the reviews & feedback from our past clients reflect this.
